💫 All Consuming

By the time this newsletter hits your inbox, Taylor Swift’s MIDNIGHTS will have graced our ears. There are so many rumors and theories swirling, but I am truly thrilled to just have some new music. Early reviews have been very good, and there are also rumors that it’s a similar vibe to Lorde’s Melodrama, which I’m 100% here for. Of course I’ll have lots of thoughts to share on the album next week!

House of the Dragon - Holy moly. The last two weeks have been insane. I saw a pretty significant spoiler (from the book) and I just have to say, this season finale is going to be INTENSE. We’ve already seen some huge dragon fighting in the trailer, Rhaenys telling Rhaenyra (don’t spell check me) about Alicent’s lil plan. Buckle up!

Abbot Elementary - Just a quick note to say that I think Ava may be one of the funniest TV characters ever written. And the new guest star (Keyla Monterroso Mejia) playing Melissa’s aide was one of the funniest parts of Curb’s last season and she is so funny here too.

Survivor - I’m pumped for the merge next week, but a few thoughts first (SPOILERS OBVI):

• I love a good underdog, and Vesi is really doing it right now. Love.

• Jeanine’s chin scabs. That’s all I have to say.

• Ryan…what are you doing. WHY would you throw the comp?

• Also, Ryan was being so annoying at tribal. Cass’s eyerolls were everything.

• Watching Jesse fall while getting out of the boat made me cackle.

Midnight Club - I love Mike Flanagan and I really wanted this to be great. It was good, but sadly ‘twas not great and did not rise to the esteemed level of Hill House and Midnight Mass :(

I am utterly convinced that God will have all kinds of grace if we got the theology wrong. I’m not entirely sure about how God will take it if we got the loving other people, seeking justice, and choosing mercy part of life wrong.

*For the record, I don’t think there are limits on the Grace we can receive. But I do think this is an interesting thought when discussing where our priorities lie.
